The faux battle for the Governor’s Cup will have to wait for a potential debut of Dak Prescott. Cowboys coach Jason Garrett ruled the new No. 1 quarterback out of the final preseason game against the Houston Texans. There strangely seemed to be some consideration of getting Prescott as many snaps as possible. Somehow, the fact Tony Romo was lost for a chunk of the regular season while trying to get him snaps to prepare him for Week One was lost on the decision makers for a quick second.
