Coach Bill O’Brien announced to the Houston media that Charles James will be placed on the injured reserve with a fractured foot.
James has been a fan favorite and has helped turn the tide for the season with his impact play on special teams. Known for his crazy socks and great backstory, James had provided “juice” on special teams and occasionally on defense.
With James being an important piece to the special teams unit, the Texans will be in the market to sign another player for the final week of the season.
James has 14 total tackles on the season with five special teams tackles in eight games.
