James Harden scored 25 points and added 13 assists to lead the Rockets to their fourth straight win, and 34th win overall. It was their 7th win in their last 9 overall.

Trevor Ariza had 23 points, including 5 threes(on 14 attempts) a game removed from only shooting twice against the Heat. The win was the sixth straight for the Rockets over the Mavs, coming on the heels of a season sweep of their I-45 rivals.
Eric Gordon scored 17 points on 4-of-7 shooting from 3-point range, ending an 0-16 streak that he had going into Wednesday night. This was an up and down night for the most part for the Southwest Division leaders, particularly from the three point line. In the first quarter, Houston made ten threes, but only managed to make 11 more the rest of the game.
The Rockets finished two shy of their season high in 3s, going 21 of 51. Harden made 6, Ariza knocked down 5, and CP3 made 3 from behind the arc.

Wesley Matthews matched his season high with 29 points for the Mavericks, including 7-14 from three point land. The Mavs lost for the seventh time in 10 games since a season-best four-game winning streak that helped lift them out of the cellar in the West. Yogi Ferrell chipped in with 19, going 4 of 5 from long range.

Ariza, who combined with Harden and Chris Paul to go 9 of 10 from 3-point range in the first quarter alone, came alive in his second game since returning from his two game suspension for attempting to force his way into the Clippers locker room over a week ago.

Clint Capela, continuing his breakout, potential Most Improved Player of the Year campaign, had 16 points and 13 rebounds. That included an alley-oop dunk on a pass from near midcourt by Harden in the fourth quarter, which gave the Rockets their biggest lead at 20 after a 15-point edge in the first 6 minutes was cut to six at halftime, thanks to a cold stretch for the second best team record wise in the NBA.
