The dynamic duo of James Harden and Chris Paul, along with the rest of the Houston Rockets, is on a 13-game winning streak. They currently sit 1.5 games ahead of the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference. But not everything is going swimmingly in Houston.

James Harden suffered a bruised right knee against the San Antonio Spurs on Friday on a hard drive to the basket that was contested, and resulted in him landing awkwardly on the floor behind the basket.
As a result, the Beard was close to having to sit out the Rockets’ win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday.

Speaking to the media after the win over Milwaukee, Harden said that he was in a bit of pain but a doctor he had spoken to told him he would be able to play and that he would not make the condition worse.
If Harden was feeling the effects of the injury, it sure didn’t show. He scored 31 points, although on just 8-of-21 shooting against the Bucks. Chris Paul chipped in with 25 points, six assists, and five rebounds to continue his hot play as of late.

It doesn’t sound like Harden will be missing a game any time soon, which is a normal occurrence for him in his career. He’s played in a minimum of 89 percent of his team’s regular season games since entering the league in 2009. The only game I can remember him missing in the last few years was when he was suspended for allegedly kicking Lebron on purpose.
