Carlos Correa has won the SportingNews Rookie of the Year Award, an award voted on by fellow AL players. The 21 year old shortstop from Puerto Rico bursted onto the scene following his June 8th call up to Houston Astros. He hit .279, with 22 Home Runs, and 68 RBI.
This will likely be the first of many awards for the budding superstar that is already drawing comparisons to a young Alex Rodriguez.
